TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018

ON 6 MARCH 2018 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the

above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to

temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that

length of Stafford Road (D1403) Caterham as extends from its

junction with Station Avenue to a point in-line with the northern

property boundary of No. 1 Stafford Road. Vehicular traffic will

be maintained via Station Avenue, The Square, Croydon Road,

Wapses Lodge Roundabout, Burntwood Lane and Stafford

Road or this route in reverse order.

This Order is required to enable SES Water to carry out water

works. These works are anticipated to be completed within

three days, between the hours of 07.30hrs and 17.00hrs, during

the six month period of operation of this Order which

commences on 13 March 2018. The closure will stay in force

24 hours per day, however advanced warning signs will be

displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the

relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within

the affected length of Stafford Road, including access by

emergency vehicles, will be maintained at all times. Access for

pedestrians and pedal cyclists will also be maintained.
