TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2018

ON 6 MARCH 2018 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the

above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be that

use, cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in

b) on horseback enter or proceed in

c) lead or drive horses, cattle, sheep or other animals in

d) on foot or by any other means enter or proceed in

that length of Popes Lane (C84) Oxted, as extends from a point

25 metres south of its junction with Gibbs Brook Lane to a point

2 metres west of the access road to Primoni Farm (aka Stocketts

Manor Farm). This Order shall come into operation on 8 March

2018 for a period of 17 months. This temporary closure will only

operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. This Order

is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of

serious damage to the road caused by the breaking up and

cracking of the carriageway within the affected length described

in this Notice.

There will be no access for any vehicular traffic or pedestrians

through the closure at any time. It is anticipated that the length

of Popes Lane specified above will remain closed at all times

until a repair can be actioned. All vehicular traffic, emergency

services and H.G.V.s will be diverted via Broadham Green Road,

Tanhouse Road, Hurst Green Road and Holland Road or this

route in reverse order. Pedestrians will be diverted via Gibbs

Brook Lane, Footpath 225, Warren Lane, Footpath 231 and

Popes Lane or this route in reverse order.
