THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Courts Hill Road (D5523) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition

of Traffic Order 2021

Surrey County Council Propose to make the above mentioned Temporary

Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the

effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding

in that length of Courts Hill Road (D5523) Haslemere as extends from

a point in line with the eastern boundary of No. 41, Courts Hill Road to

a point in line with the western boundary of No. 45, Courts Hill Road.

Alternative Routes – Clockwise: Longdene Road; Lower Street;

A246 Lower Street/High Street/Lower Street/Shepherds Hill; and

Courts Hill Road; Anticlockwise: Courts Hill Road; A286 Shepherds

Hill; Lower Street; and Longdene Road. The Order is required to allow

sewer repair and/or maintenance works to be carried out by, or on

behalf of Cappagh Contractors within the length of road described in

this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over two

weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday within

the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that

commences on 16 August 2021. Advanced warning signs will be

displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in

operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic

signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists

will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works and for

reasons of safety, vehicular access through the closure will not be

maintained and residents will need to park any vehicles outside the

closure area. All vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed

diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section

3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises

within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be

restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the

road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Wrecclesham Hill (A325) Wrecclesham Temporary Prohibition

of Traffic Order 2021

Surrey County Council Propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary

Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the

effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or

proceeding in that length of Wrecclesham Hill (A325) Wrecclesham as

extends from its junction with (B3384) Echo Barn Lane to its junction

with access to the property known as “Old Kiln Farm” at the border

with the County of Hampshire. Alternative Routes: Traffic for A325

Wrecclesham Hill – A325 Wrecclesham Hill/The Street/Wrecclesham

Hill; Weydon Lane; Southbound traffic divert onto A31 westbound; A31

Farnham By Pass; A31 Alton Road; A32 Gosport Road; A272

Winchester Road; A3 Northbound Liphook – Petersfield Bypass; and

A325 Woolmer Road/Petersfield Road/Templars Way Louisburg

Avenue/Forge Road/Farnham Road. Traffic for Echo Barn Lane –

A325 Wrecclesham Hill/The Street/Wrecclesham Road; Weydon Lane

(to avoid rail bridge – 13’9” height restriction); Follow A31 Farnham

By Pass eastbound; Turn right onto B3001 Station Hill; Tilford Road;

Great Austins; Ridgway Road; Shortheath Road; and Echo Barn Lane.

This Order, which will commence on 18 August 2021 for a period of

18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be

executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf

of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: surface dressing

pre-patching works and/or highway maintenance works. Advanced

warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures and

suspensions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are

displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during

these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all

reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the

vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will

be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service

vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents

and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if

necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works,

vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case

such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours

within any 24-hour period.
