Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2020

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to: 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: a) The entire length of Longdene Road (D5523), Haslemere; vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Clockwise - Court Hill Road, Shepherd Hill, and Lower Street. Anticlockwise - Lower Street (B2131), Lower Street (A286), Haslemere High Street (around one-way system) to return to Lower Street (A286), Shepherds Hill and Court Hill Road. b) That length of Nutcombe Lane (D5507), Hindhead that extends from its junction with Hindhead Road (A287), to its junction with Glen Lea (D5507); vehicular traffic will be diverted via Glen Lea, Hazel Grove, Portsmouth Road and Hindhead Road. c) That length of Lower Street (B2131) and Wey Hill (B3131), Haslemere that extends from its junction with Tanners Lane (D5517), to its junction with St Christopher’s Green (D134); vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Southbound – Hindhead Road, Tilford Road, Churt Road, Crossways, Gong Hill, Frensham Road, Firgrove Hill, Bridge Square, Long Bridge, Downing Street, The Borough, Bear Lane, Woolmead Road, East Street, Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, Hogs Back, Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Friary Bridge, Park Street, Portsmouth Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford Road, Meadrow, Bridge Street, Wharf Road, Flambard Way, Ockford Road, Portsmouth Road, Church Road, Haslemere Road, Grayswood Road and Haslemere High Street. Northbound – Haslemere High Street, Grayswood Road, Haslemere Road, Church Road, Portsmouth Road, Ockford Road, Flambard Way, Wharf Street, Bridge Road, Meadrow, Guildford Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Portsmouth Road, Park Street, Friary Bridge, Farnham Road, Hogs Back, Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, East Street, Dogflud Way, East Street, South Street, Union Road, Long Bridge, Bridge Square, Firgrove Hill, Frensham Road, Gong Hill, Crossways, Churt Road, Tilford Road and Hindhead Road. HGVs travelling on Frensham Road to use Great Austins, Menin Way, Waverley Road, Station Hill, South Street. And follow diversion. To avoid 7.5t weight limit on Firgrove Hill. d) That length of Midhurst Road (A286), Haslemere that extends from its junction with Courts Hill Road (D5523), to the county boundary with West Sussex; vehicular traffic will be diverted via: Shepherds Hill, Lower Street, Haslemere High Street (around Town Hall), Petworth Road, Rodgate Lane, Cripplecrutch Hill, Petworth Road, Fisher Street, London Road, Horsham Road, Kingspit Lane, Low Heath, Haslingbourne Lane, Station Road, Tillington Road, Easebourne Lane and Midhurst Road. e) That length of Rodgate Lane (B2131) and Petworth Road (B2131), Haslemere that extends from its junction with Killinghurst Lane (D157), to its junction with Petworth Road (A283); vehicular traffic will be diverted via Petworth Road (B2131), Haslemere High Street, Grayswood Road and Petworth Road (A283). f) The entire length of Hindhead Road (A287) and Hindhead Road (B2131), Junction Place (B2131) and Lion Green (B2131), Haslemere; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Southbound – Hindhead Road, Tilford Road, Churt Road, Crossways, Gong Hill, Frensham Road, Firgrove Hill, Bridge Square, Long Bridge, Downing Street, The Borough, Bear Lane, Woolmead Road, East Street, Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, Hogs Back, Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Friary Bridge, Park Street, Portsmouth Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford Road, Meadrow, Bridge Street, Wharf Road, Flambard Way, Ockford Road, Portsmouth Road, Church Road, Haslemere Road, Grayswood Road, High Street, Lower Street, Wey Hill. To avoid 7.5t weight limit on Firgrove Hill. g) That length of Frensham Road (A287) (also known as Gong Hill), Millbridge that extends from its junction with Frensham Vale (D5310), to Fifield Lane (D113); vehicular traffic will be diverted via Southbound - Frensham Road, Firgrove Hill, Bridge Square, Long Bridge, Downing Street, The Borough, Bear Lane, Woolmead Road, East Street, Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, Hogs Back, Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, Friary Bridge, Park Street, Portsmouth Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford Road, Meadrow, Bridge Street, Wharf Road, Flambard Way, Ockford Road, Portsmouth Road, Church Road, Haslemere Road, Grayswood Road, Haslemere High Street, Shepherds Hill, Midhurst Road, Bell Road, Sturt Road, Church Road, Hindhead Road, Tilford Road, Churt Road, Crossways and Frensham Road. Northbound – Frensham Road, Crossways, Churt Road, Tilford Road, Hindhead Road, Church Road, Sturt Road, Bell Road, Midhurst Road, Shepherds Hill, High Street, Grayswood Road, Haslemere Road, Church Road, Portsmouth Road, Ockford Road, Flambard Way, Wharf Road, Bridge Street, Meadrow, Guildford Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Portsmouth Road, Park Street, Friary Bridge, Farnham Road, Hogs Back, Guildford Road, Shepherd and Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, East Street, A325 Dogflud Way, East Street, South Street, A287 Union Road, A287 Long Bridge, Bridge Square, Firgrove Hill and Frensham Road. To avoid 7.5t weight limit on Firgrove Hill, HGVs travelling on Frensham Road to use Great Austins, Menin Way, Waverley Road, Station Hill, South Street and join diversion. h) That length of Upper Hale Road (A3016), Farnham that extends from its junction with Folly Hill (287), to its junction with Bishops Road (D5353); vehicular traffic will be diverted via Clockwise Hale Road, Hale roundabout, Farnborough Road, Shepherd & Flock roundabout, Guildford Road, East Street, Dogflud Way, East Street, The Borough, Castle Street, Castle Hill and Folly Hill. Anticlockwise Folly Hill, Castle Hill, Castle Street, The Borough, Bear Lane, Woolmead, East Street, Guildford Road, Shepherd & Flock roundabout, Farnborough Road, Hale roundabout and Hale Road. i) The entire length of Bourne Grove (D5322), Lower Bourne; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Vicarage Hill, Greenhill Road and Tilford Road. 2. “The Surrey County Council Longdene Road (D5523), Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020” shall be suspended in its entirety.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable highway maintenance and/or patching/surface dressing/resurfacing, and/or improvement works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 01 August 2020. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and; dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. Access for residents and businesses on the affected lengths of road described in parts a) to i) to this notice, will be via the diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Courts Hill Road (D5523), Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2020

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Courts Hill Road (D5523), Haslemere that extends from the north-western property boundary of “Tallboys - No.15 Courts Hill Road” to the north-eastern property boundary of “Tallboys - No.15 Courts Hill Road”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Morrison Utility Services to carry make a new water service mains connection. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 August 2020. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated will be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and; dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses, including access for emergency services will be maintained at all times via the vehicular diversion route which will be: Longdene Road, Lower Street, Haslemere High

Street (Roundabout) and Shepherds Hill and this route in reverse (except where coming from Shepherds Hill they can turn left on to Lower Street).
